A project that integrates science, literacy, and technology as we learn to “Read the River”
Calendar and Schedules
Session 1: Saturday, September 14, at Crow’s Nest Research Center (adjacent to Crow’s Nest Natural Area Preserve.) This field-based session will involve basic background information about MWEEs, along with an exploration of the Crow’s Nest site.
Session 2: Thursday, September 19, at the University of Mary Washington. This session will focus on literacy and technology tips and tools that participants may find helpful in their future curriculum creation.
Session 3: Saturday, September 28, at Crow’s Nest site. This field-based session will allow participants to collect digital artifacts that they will need to create their curriculum.
Workshop time: October/November. Over these two months, dyads will work to create and implement curriculum that addresses MWEEs and integrates literacy and technology. Embedded support will be available during this curriculum creation process.
Session 4: Thursday, December 5, at the University of Mary Washington. In this final session, participants will share their projects by uploading them to a project website.
